Its boundaries are presently Deerfoot Trail to the west, Seton Blvd. to the north, and an unbuilt extension of 52 St. S.E. to the east. Its southern boundary is defined by a proposed unnamed arterial road. The community is currently represented on Calgary City Council by Ward 12.

Seton, when completed, will include a mixture of residential and business development, and will be served by a proposed southeast leg of the city's C-Train system, but it will primarily be the location of the proposed 44-acre (180,000 m2) South Health Campus, whichis a major hospital for the region. [2] [3]
